We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract by Shropshire Council’s Museum Service to provide a Museum Management System, which further increases our portfolio of multi-site attractions. This also sees our partnerships with local authorities continue to increase.
The full ticketing system will be installed in four of the council’s Museums and Visitor Centres. These include; Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, Shrewsbury Castle, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, Much Wenlock Museum and Ludlow Museum Resource Centre.
The system will provide much needed operational and management support to all four sites, including single and joint ticketing for attractions and events, as well as retail sales, stock management and Customer Relationship Management.
Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery’s move to the former Music Hall building in the centre of the town, forms the hub for the county Museum service. This is the culmination of a long-term, £10million project that will see the creation of a major new tourist attraction for the people of Shrewsbury and the county of Shropshire. The Museum will not only display material relating to the history of the town and region, but will encompass Shrewsbury’s Visitor Information Centre/retail and offer hireable spaces for educational and corporate use.
