TOR Systems is delighted to announce that we have appointed Masters-degree educated software developer Gabriel Leatham to add to our fast-growing development team.

We have strengthened our ability to build on our existing software with the recruitment of a highly skilled software developer.

Gabriel, aged 27, could have scarcely foreseen his future career whilst undertaking a Masters degree in international relations.

“I’ve always found programming interesting, so when I was doing a really boring job in a call centre after I left university, I used any spare time to teach myself,” he said.

After honing his skills, he assumed several roles including the post at See Tickets, before joining the family firm in Stoke-on-Trent, where he uses frameworks and languages such as .NET, C#, Javascript, HTML and CSS.

He works from his home in Nottingham and enjoys the work-life balance a role, flexible working being a key benefit that TOR Systems offers our employees.

“The role consists of creating innovative software programmes so that tourism and leisure clients can set up tickets and events. This enables their customers to purchase tickets, membership, retail or gift vouchers, integrating our software with payment providers and other technology for a seamless experience”

Chris Candeland, TOR’s lead software developer, added: “Gabriel has made a smooth transition to TOR Systems and he is going to be a great asset to the team, which will enable us to meet our goals of developing our feature-rich, Cloud-based ticketing solution.”
